The technology behind it

A REST API built on Laravel (PHP 8.4) with a Vue 3 single-page app on the front end. Changes appear for everyone instantly — over a persistent WebSocket connection instead of repeatedly polling the server. The app keeps working without a connection: actions go into a local queue and are synchronised on reconnect, including conflict detection when two people have edited the same card.

What it does

• Connects via IMAP or Microsoft 365 — the mailbox stays exactly where it is
• Every new message is checked within seconds, spam is moved aside automatically
• Quarantine with restore: nothing is deleted, everything stays traceable

The technology behind it

A Python back end built on FastAPI. A dedicated service keeps an open IMAP connection for every mailbox and is notified by the mail server the moment a message arrives — which is why checks take seconds rather than minutes. Detection runs in stages: our own rule set, then spam and virus scanning, then AI assessment of the borderline cases. Personal data is stripped out locally beforehand; on request, detection runs entirely locally without any external AI.

What it does

• Send a message or file: create a link, done — the recipient needs no account
• A permanent inbox for the other direction: clients, patients or applicants send securely to you
• Open once, then gone — the transfer deletes itself after retrieval or expiry
• Embeddable form for your own website, data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR in the business plan

The technology behind it

A PHP application with its own process pool on our server in Germany; the data lives in a SQLite database. The actual encryption runs in the browser via the system's cryptography interface: AES-GCM for the content, PBKDF2 for key derivation. The server only ever sees ciphertext and has no idea what it is storing. Sign-in uses WebAuthn – passkeys instead of passwords.
